The INSTITUTE OF GEOLOGY MALAYSIA, in collaboration with Digital Geoscience Global Sdn Bhd, is delighted to introduce a fieldwork series 04/24 scheduled for March 2024. Here are the event details:
Title: Geology of Bentong-Benta Area
Trainer: Dr Chee Meng Choong, P.Geol.
Date: 2 March 2024
This program aims to familiarize the field geological investigation of Bentong – Benta area, which fall in the suture zone and Central Belt. In this program, the participants will learn to do basic geological observation and interpretation. The focus of the program is including recognition of the major rock types/facies and secondary structures of the area, geological measurement and preliminary interpretation in the field. The participants will learn the skill to record the geological features in the outcrop.

Module 2: Conglomerate @ Bentong
Module 3: Intermediate Igneous Rock @ Jeram Besu, Benta
Module 4: Sedimentary rocks @ Raub
