Title: PALEONTOLOGY WORKSHOP: PALEOZOIC TO CENOZOIC FOSSILS IN MALAYSIA

This program aims to introduce the selected Paleozoic – Cenozoic fossils that occurred in Malaysia and relevant applications in research and industry. In this program, the participants will learn the types of fossils and their implications. The focus of the program includes the recognition and interpretation of fossils. The program also showcases the real fossil specimens from the selected area of Malaysia.
Aims:
The main aims of this online course are as follows:
- To recognize the main types of fossils that occurred in Malaysia.
- To identify the fossil types and their geological interpretation
- To synthesize the geological history based on the fossils.
Outcome:
- Able to differentiate the major types of fossils based on their characteristics.
- Able to propose a logical geological explanation based on the analysis of fossils.
